Meet Jackie

Certified Nonprofit Professional & Autism Parent

In 2016, I gave birth to my first child.

Little did I know that this little boy would change my life in unexpected ways, putting me on a crusade to make the world more inclusive for those like him.

When Declan was diagnosed with autism, I was terrified. What would the world look like for him? Would it be kind? Could he survive? Would I be able to take on the challenge of raising a neurodiverse person?

Four years later, little Ethan came to us as our second child on the spectrum. This time, I was ready. I had been through the process of navigating all the therapists, the doctors, the dirty looks from the public, the questions from family and friends. I had embraced the role of advocate and put on another layer of armor to start the processes all over again.

Autism is a journey. It is not a problem to be solved, but a mindset to understand. My role is not to adapt my children to the world, but to help the world embrace and adapt to the skills, creativity, and goodness of my children.

That is why I decided to start this business. I want to help your business or nonprofit open its arms to those with developmental disabilities in an authentic and inclusive way and to help those with developmental disabilities be their own advocates in the workforce.

Inclusion is a verb. Let's practice together.

I look forward to working with you.

Ways I can serve you.

I have over a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector and have given lectures, led workshops, and coached others on how to be more inclusive in their workspace. From crafting social stories to auditing your processes, I would love to help your nonprofit or business succeed in being an authentically inclusive space for those with developmental disabilities.

As a nonprofit executive, I have also interviewed hundreds of individuals for various positions and have an eye for what makes someone stand out in the crowd when they submit a resume and cover letter. I would love to help you leverage your skills and talents to promote your candidacy for your next role.
